Streamlabs Desktop (formerly Streamlabs OBS) is one of the most popular streaming applications. This guide shows you how to add Vortexia's audio reactive visuals and connect your Streamlabs account for automatic event reactions.
Adding Vortexia as a Browser Source
- Open Streamlabs Desktop and navigate to your scene editor
- Click the "+" button in the Sources panel
- Select "Browser Source" from the list
- Name it "Vortexia Visuals" and click "Add Source"
- Paste your Vortexia viewer URL (found in the Dashboard under OBS Link)
- Set dimensions to match your canvas (1920x1080 for 1080p)
- Click Done
Connecting Streamlabs Events
Vortexia can react to your Streamlabs events in real-time. When someone donates, subscribes, follows, or raids, the visuals will spike and flash based on the event intensity. Larger donations create bigger visual reactions.
- In the Vortexia dashboard, go to the Platform Connections section
- Click "Connect Streamlabs"
- Enter your Streamlabs Socket Token (found in Streamlabs Dashboard > Settings > API Tokens)
- Click Connect — events will start flowing immediately
Event Intensity Scaling
Vortexia automatically scales visual reactions based on event value. A $5 donation creates a moderate pulse, while a $100 donation creates a dramatic visual explosion. Subscriptions, follows, and raids each have their own unique visual signature so viewers can tell events apart at a glance.
Positioning Tips
Place the Vortexia source at the bottom of your source list so it sits behind everything else. This creates a living background that fills dead space in your layout. For a more subtle effect, reduce the opacity to 60-80% so the visuals add ambiance without overwhelming your content.
That's it — your stream now has professional-grade audio reactive visuals with automatic event reactions. Your viewers will notice the difference immediately.
