The cubic Mandelbrot (z³ + c), live and audio-reactive
Vortexia is a free Multibrot fractal visualizer that renders the cubic Mandelbrot set (z³ + c) live in your browser with GPU acceleration. Watch its symmetric, multi-lobed structure react to music in real time, or add it to OBS as one browser source. No install.
Vortexia is a free Multibrot fractal visualizer that renders the cubic Mandelbrot set live in your browser on the GPU (WebGL2). A Multibrot set generalizes the Mandelbrot iteration z → z² + c to a higher power; Vortexia renders the cubic case, z → z³ + c. Raising the power to three changes the symmetry of the set: instead of one heart-shaped body, the cubic Multibrot has a two-fold symmetric form with extra lobes and richer branching. Vortexia computes it every frame, so it can zoom, shift color, and react to your music in real time through the Web Audio API. To use it on stream, pick the look at vortexia.live/demo and paste one Browser Source URL into OBS, Streamlabs, Kick, Twitch, YouTube Live, or TikTok Live — no download, no plugin. The free tier renders at 720p with a watermark; paid tiers unlock 1080p, 4K, and custom shaders.
How to use Multibrot Fractal Visualizer
Open the Multibrot view. Go to vortexia.live/demo and select the Multibrot engine (or deep-link vortexia.live/demo?type=multibrot), then enable audio to watch its lobes pulse with the music.
Add it to OBS. In OBS or Streamlabs, add a Browser Source and paste your Vortexia viewer URL. Set it to 1920x1080 to match your canvas.
Layer and go live. Place the source behind your webcam and game capture so it becomes a living background, then start streaming.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Multibrot set?
A Multibrot set is a generalization of the Mandelbrot set that raises z to a power d in the iteration z → z^d + c. The Mandelbrot set is the d = 2 case; Vortexia renders the cubic d = 3 case, z → z³ + c.
What is the cubic Mandelbrot?
It is the Multibrot set for power three: z → z³ + c. Because the power is three, the set has two-fold rotational symmetry and more lobes than the classic Mandelbrot set.
Is it free?
Yes. Vortexia renders the cubic Multibrot free at 720p with a watermark; paid tiers from $49.99/year add 1080p, 4K, no watermark, and custom shaders.
Can it react to audio?
Yes. The Multibrot view pulses, zooms, and shifts color with bass, mid, and treble in real time using the Web Audio API.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in a browser tab and adds to OBS or Streamlabs as a Browser Source URL — no download, no plugin.
