Vortexia is a browser-based audio visualizer you can use on YouTube Live. It is a web page you add to OBS as a Browser Source, so it appears in whatever OBS streams, YouTube included, and moves with your music: bass, mids and treble each drive part of the motion, with a pulse on every kick. It can even visualize a YouTube video playing in another tab: set Listening to Music / system and share that tab with audio in Chrome or Edge on Windows. The free plan’s platform connection is Twitch, so the visual works on YouTube but does not see your chat. Connect YouTube on Plus and Super Chats and new members set off their own effects while you are live. For uploads rather than streams, record the source in OBS, or export a vertical clip of up to 60 seconds for Shorts.
How to use An Audio Visualizer for YouTube Live
Add it to OBS. Copy your OBS link from the Vortexia dashboard and add it as a Browser Source.
Choose what it hears. Leave it on Microphone, or pick Music / system to capture a tab or your desktop audio.
Connect YouTube on Plus. In the dashboard’s Platforms tab, connect YouTube so Super Chats and new members trigger effects.
Go live. Stream to YouTube from OBS as usual; the dashboard tab must stay open, minimised is fine.

Does it work on YouTube with the free plan?
The visual does: it is a Browser Source, so it shows in any OBS stream, at 720p and 30fps with a small watermark on the free plan. Reacting to Super Chats and new members needs the YouTube connection, which is part of Plus.
Which YouTube events does it react to?
Super Chats and new members, once YouTube is connected in the dashboard on Plus. Each sets off its own effect across the whole background while you are live.
Can it visualize a YouTube video playing in my browser?
Yes. Set Listening to Music / system and share the tab playing the video, with the audio box ticked. Vortexia supports this in Chrome or Edge on Windows.
Can I make a visualizer video to upload?
Yes. Add the source to OBS and record for as long as the track runs. The built-in clip export makes vertical 1080×1920 clips of 15, 30 or 60 seconds for Shorts; a clip is a recording, so it does not loop seamlessly.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan streams at 720p and 30fps with a small watermark, three engines and Twitch. Plus removes the watermark, renders at 1080p and 60fps, unlocks all eight engines and adds automatic YouTube and Kick events.
