What is Neon Synthwave Visuals That Ride the Bass?

Vortexia gives synthwave and vaporwave sets a neon, retro-futurist backdrop that moves with the music. The Bass Tunnel look shown on this page flies you through a glowing tunnel whose speed rides the low end, so a driving bassline pushes you forward and a breakdown lets it drift. Shift the colour toward hot pink, magenta or cyan, then raise Glitch / RGB Split for a colour fringe that recalls a worn VHS tape. It is generated live from the music, so it does not draw literal 80s scenery such as grids, sunsets or palm trees. Bass Tunnel is a Plus engine, and free inside Ambient Mode; on the free plan, the Cyberpunk Neon preset gives a neon look with the colour fringe already on. Add it to OBS as a Browser Source for a stream.

Frequently asked questions

Does it draw neon grids and sunsets?
No. Vortexia generates its picture from the music rather than drawing set scenery, so there are no grids, suns or palm trees. The synthwave feel comes from the neon colour, the tunnel motion and the colour fringe.
How do I get the VHS-style colour fringe?
Raise Glitch / RGB Split under Post-Processing. It separates the red, green and blue channels, and the treble pushes the split wider. It works on every plan.
Is Bass Tunnel free?
Bass Tunnel is a Plus engine in the dashboard, and free inside Ambient Mode at vortexia.live/ambient, which needs no account. The free plan includes Cyberpunk Neon, a neon look with the colour fringe already on.
Will it follow a synth-heavy track?
Yes. The low end drives the tunnel’s speed, the mids and highs move the rest of the picture, and a pulse lands on every kick.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan streams at 720p and 30fps with a small watermark, three engines and Twitch. Plus removes the watermark, renders at 1080p and 60fps, unlocks all eight engines and adds automatic YouTube and Kick events.
