What is Mandelbrot Visualizer Online?

Vortexia is a free online Mandelbrot visualizer that renders the Mandelbrot set live in your browser using your GPU (WebGL2). Instead of a static image, you get the real escape-time fractal computed every frame, so it can zoom, drift, shift hue, and — uniquely — react to audio in real time. The Mandelbrot set is the set of complex numbers c for which the iteration z → z² + c stays bounded when started from z = 0; Vortexia colors each point by how quickly it escapes, producing the familiar bulbs, filaments, and seahorse valleys. You can watch it react to music through the Web Audio API, or add it to a stream by pasting one Browser Source URL into OBS, Streamlabs, Kick, Twitch, YouTube Live, or TikTok Live. There is no download and no plugin. The free tier renders at 720p; paid tiers unlock 1080p, 4K, and custom shaders.

How to use Mandelbrot Visualizer Online

  1. Open the Mandelbrot view. Go to vortexia.live/demo and select the Mandelbrot engine. You can also deep-link a specific view, e.g. vortexia.live/demo?type=mandelbrot&cx=-0.745&cy=0.113&zoom=12&iter=400.
  2. Add it to OBS. In OBS or Streamlabs, add a Browser Source and paste your Vortexia viewer URL. Set it to 1920x1080 to match your canvas.
  3. Layer and go live. Place the source behind your webcam and game capture so it becomes a living background, then start streaming.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Mandelbrot set?
It is the set of complex numbers c for which the sequence z → z² + c stays bounded when started from z = 0. Points are colored by how fast they escape, which produces the fractal's bulbs and spirals.
Is this Mandelbrot visualizer free?
Yes. Vortexia renders the Mandelbrot set free at 720p with a watermark. Paid tiers from $49.99/year add 1080p, 4K, no watermark, and custom shaders.
Can it react to music?
Yes. The Mandelbrot view pulses, zooms, and shifts color in time with bass, mid, and treble using the Web Audio API — something a static Mandelbrot image cannot do.
How deep can I zoom?
The renderer uses single-precision GPU math, so it stays crisp through moderate zooms. Extreme deep zooms eventually pixelate, which is a normal limit of real-time WebGL fractal rendering.
Do I need an account or install?
No install ever. You can watch the visualizer instantly; an account is only needed to generate an OBS Browser Source URL for streaming.
