Vortexia is a free Tricorn fractal visualizer that renders the Mandelbar set live in your browser with GPU acceleration. Watch its three-cornered, symmetric structure react to music in real time, or add it to OBS as one browser source. No install.
Vortexia is a free Tricorn fractal visualizer that renders the Tricorn — also called the Mandelbar — live in your browser on the GPU (WebGL2). The Tricorn is a close relative of the Mandelbrot set that iterates the complex conjugate before squaring: z → z̄² + c, where z̄ flips the sign of the imaginary part. That single change gives the set a striking three-cornered, mirror-symmetric shape studded with decorative filaments, quite unlike the round bulbs of the Mandelbrot set. Vortexia computes it every frame, so it can zoom, shift color, and react to your music in real time through the Web Audio API. To use it on stream, pick the look at vortexia.live/demo and paste one Browser Source URL into OBS, Streamlabs, Kick, Twitch, YouTube Live, or TikTok Live — no download, no plugin. The free tier renders at 720p with a watermark; paid tiers unlock 1080p, 4K, and custom shaders.
How to use Tricorn Fractal Visualizer
Open the Tricorn view. Go to vortexia.live/demo and select the Tricorn engine (or deep-link vortexia.live/demo?type=tricorn), then enable audio to watch its symmetric arms pulse with the music.
Add it to OBS. In OBS or Streamlabs, add a Browser Source and paste your Vortexia viewer URL. Set it to 1920x1080 to match your canvas.
Layer and go live. Place the source behind your webcam and game capture so it becomes a living background, then start streaming.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Tricorn fractal?
The Tricorn (or Mandelbar) is a Mandelbrot-style fractal defined by z → z̄² + c, where z̄ is the complex conjugate. Conjugating before squaring produces a three-cornered, symmetric shape instead of the Mandelbrot set's round bulbs.
Why is it called the Mandelbar?
The bar in "Mandelbar" refers to the conjugate notation z̄ (z with a bar over it). It is the same idea as the Mandelbrot set but with that extra conjugation step, so it earned the playful name Mandelbar.
Is it free?
Yes. Vortexia renders the Tricorn free at 720p with a watermark; paid tiers from $49.99/year add 1080p, 4K, no watermark, and custom shaders.
Can it react to audio?
Yes. The Tricorn view pulses, zooms, and shifts color with bass, mid, and treble in real time using the Web Audio API.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in a browser tab and adds to OBS or Streamlabs as a Browser Source URL — no download, no plugin.
