It is the Tricorn fractal, whose spiked form comes from the mathematics itself, so its edges stay sharp as you zoom in. On each kick the picture punches in and settles back in about a fifth of a second, while the bass breathes the zoom and the highs make the glowing field more vivid. The glowing field sweeps through the colour wheel about every 20 seconds; the black core stays black. That restraint suits dark techno, industrial and EBM, where a busy kaleidoscope would feel wrong.
